MID MAY SKETCHING

More sketched for a new project I am working on which I can't wait to share with you! Below are a couple of photos from my instagram. The first one is some experimenting with cut-outs, which was refreshing as it has been a long time using only paper and pencils. The last image is something even more refreshing I did at work with the 3 year old kid I'm teaching, expressing our passion for glitter.

EARLY MAY SKETCHING

I visited some friends in Oslo this weekend. Waiting for my friend to finish work I spent pretty much a whole day in a cafe drawing, drinking one coffee after the other struggling not to fall asleep after a two hour quality nap on the plane. These are some of the doodles I made when not gazing on the empty streets of Oslo.

WEBSITE UPDATE

As you may notice I have updated my blog and website and being the egocentric 'artist' I am I have drawn myself on a particularly bad hair day.
I've also added some new projects to my website and will keep posting drawings from my sketchbook in ... the 'sketchbook' section (very creative title on that one).

The second issue of Kote, a magazine about architecture and urbanism, is out in Norway now. I've illustrated the cover, yay, and a couple of articles inside. I haven't received my copy yet, but when I do I'll show you more. Please check out the magazine's website and facebook page.

BOOK LAUNCH

I have recently collaborated with poet Johanne M. Hauge and we have made her poem collection THE SOUNDS YOU ARE MAKING ARE NOT MY NAME into a nice little riso printed thing that I have illustrated and designed. Of course we are not going to put the book out there without having any form of celebration, so on the 19th of April, there will be a book launch at the Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green, London. Johanne will read some of her poems, there will be some music and performances. And wine, no launch without wine! It starts at 8pm sharp and you are invited.

I am so happy to see my work in the latest issue of Anorak Magazine! 'One-Hundred Pieces' is a story I've written and drawn about some kids playing hide and seek and some talking trees.
I will post some better photos of the magazine on my website soon.

My mom has a nice little shop in my hometown (Bjørnehiet) and let me play graphic designer and give the shop's identity a revamp. Here are the business cards. There has been ordered matching massive stickers for the windows as well, which I'll post once they're up and photographed.
